RECONCILIATION
& PENANCE
The Sacrament of Penance and Reconciliation (Confession) is an encounter with our Lord Jesus Christ, who grants us pardon and peace through the ministry of the Church, specifically through a bishop or priest. Jesus gave us this sacrament on the first Easter (cf. John 20:19-23). What is confessed to a bishop or priest will be held in strict confidence and will not be held against you. Remember, you are coming to experience God’s saving mercy.
Has it been awhile? Do not be afraid. Ask the priest to help you. Experience the healing mercy of God.
