Pastoral Care of the Sick

NOTE: During the pandemic, Father Harris is following his doctor's instructions to refrain from visiting the hospitals due to his pre-existing conditions. His brother priests in the area know about it. They can be available when they are able for pastoral emergencies.

Preparing for surgery: Ask to receive the Sacrament of Anointing after a Sunday Holy Mass prior to the date of surgery. Father Harris will visit your home if needed.

Ministry to those who are hospitalized: You, a family member, or a trusted friend must let Father Harris know (410.922.3800, ext. 6 or RHarris@archbalt.org). Usually, the hospital will not call us due to privacy laws.

Communion for persons who are ill or infirm: Call the Parish Office (410.922.3800, ext. 4). We will arrange for Father Harris or a Communion Minister to visit you.

Pastoral emergency: If someone needs to receive the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick,

please call the Parish Office (410.922.3800, ext. 4)

or the Answering Service after hours (410.879.2831).
