This preaching series relates to the Lenten series, “Growing in Faith: Our Identity in Christ.” The Lord Jesus Christ is secure in His identity and steadfast in fulfilling His mission. Living in union with Christ within His Church, we remain secure in our identity in Christ. We remain steadfast in fulfilling our mission from Christ. The Risen Lord said to His first disciples, “‘Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I send you‘” (John 20:21).
During this series, Father Harris will examine how the Risen Lord empowers us to fulfill His mission of reconciling humanity with God. He will also highlight parts of the new Parish Pastoral Plan of short-term and long-term goals as HFC prepares for our 150th anniversary in 2026.
The Pastoral Plan is in keeping with the mission of the universal Church. Following the Lord Jesus and filled with the Holy Spirit, we are proclaiming the Gospel of Christ, building the Church of Christ, making disciples of Christ, and having a fruitful impact in our communities in the name of Christ.
HFC summarizes it in this way: “The mission of Holy Family Parish is to help people to believe in Christ, to belong to His Church, and to bless our communities. We strive to fulfill our mission through worship, evangelization, faith formation, stewardship, fellowship, and service.”
