Darron C. Woodus has served as our Director of Faith Formation since July 2016. In mid-February 2019, he became the Pastoral Associate of Bishop Denis Madden, Auxiliary Bishop and Urban Vicar in the Archdiocese of Baltimore. Since then, he has served part-time in our parish until a new full-time Director of Faith Formation is hired.

Accepting the recommendation of the Search Committee, I have asked JoAnn Harvan-Chin to serve as our next Director of Faith Formation, effective July 1, 2019.

During Darron C. Woodus’ ministry, our parish has experienced growth in these areas: the number of young disciples in the Sunday School of Religion; celebrations of Baptism, First Reconciliation, First Communion, and Confirmation; receptions into the full communion of the Catholic Church; among other things. I invite you to offer thanks by sending a note to the Parish Office or an email (Darron.Woodus@archbalt.org).

I am looking forward to serving with JoAnn Harvan-Chin. Please join me in prayer during this time of transition.

Father Raymond Harris

Hello everyone! My name is JoAnn Harvan-Chin and I am beyond excited to be your new Director of Faith Formation. I have been actively involved in catechesis for nearly 10 years serving as a middle school catechist, assistant to the DRE/Youth Minister, and RCIA team member at a few parishes in Howard and Anne Arundel Counties to "get my feet wet."  Then I accepted a position as Director of Religious Education at St. Clement Church in Rosedale for three years after completing my Masters at Loyola University Maryland in Spiritual and Pastoral Care. I also hold a graduate certificate in Spiritual Direction and serve the Lord in that capacity when I am called upon to do so.
I facilitate a small Christian Church group in a private home in Rosedale and we have been meeting for 3 years. We are currently enjoying the ChristLife Following Christ series. I have volunteered for ChristLife since January of 2018. They are a Catholic evangelization organization joyfully spreading the Gospel in Catholic Parishes and other locations across the nation and worldwide.
I live in Columbia, MD, with my husband Jeffrey Chin who works for Northrop Grumman. I have one young adult son, Nikolas. He resides currently in Idaho where he works in forestry work as a wildland firefighter and in other forestry related occupations and farming.
In my spare time, I enjoy learning about wine as a hobby and I am a wine consultant conducting in-home wine tastings to share the joy of wine with others.
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to serve Holy Family Church. I look forward to meeting you and being on the team to further the mission of our fine church community. God Bless!
